The Lodge room at Byker Masonic Hall was full to capacity to hear Worshipful Master Calvin Khlass deliver a fascinating lecture on Native American Freemason.
The festive board for the Chinese New Year meeting – held this year at Sky Restaurant – is always a fun and well organised evening which begins with the traditional Lion Dance before brethren tuck in to a delicious Chinese banquet.
Oriental Lodge is a well-visited Lodge and this meeting was no exception. Brethren from more than 10 Provinces were in attendance including a delegation from Hong Kong Zetland Lodge which meets at Great Queen Street in London.
The Senior Warden of Oriental Lodge, Bro David Stockdale, is organising a two-week Masonic Tour of the US next year with a packed itinerary of Lodge visits, tours and sightseeing (and of course some free time to enjoy the sites). The tour is split across two legs: New York and Washington DC from 30thto 8th May 2019 then Las Vegas from 8th to 14th May 2019.
