A Christmas Message from Provincial Grand Master

22nd December 2018

Brethren,

As we approach the end of 2018, it is time to reflect on the past 12 months and to look forward to the coming year with enthusiasm and energy.

We have enjoyed some memorable occasions throughout the year, not least of which was our Annual Meeting at Gosforth Park where we were at capacity for both the meeting itself, and the following dinner.

It was especially pleasing to see so many Masters of Lodges wearing their Festival Collarets to show that their Lodges had reached their Festival target to become Stewards of the 2020 Festival.

We have also had the appointment of 28 Provincial Stewards, which precludes the founding of the Provincial Stewards Lodge in 2019, which is a very exciting initiative.

We have had the retirement of Brian Rudd as Provincial Grand Secretary and Donald Auld as APGM who will retire at the end of December. Both of whom have given a huge amount to this Province in Particular and Freemasonry in General. Stuart Cairns is our new Provincial Grand Secretary and Alistair Watson will be our new APGM.

I am grateful for the continued support of The Executive Team and acknowledge their efforts and assistance across a whole range of activities.

Finally, at this Festive time, may I ask you to look to Charity in helping and supporting those who are less fortunate than ourselves and also, to think of those close to us who are ill or in difficulty.

Brethren may I wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy and joyful New Year and in so doing, may I thank you all for your continued Support.

Ian Craigs
