Bro. Park was wounded in action and subsequently died from his injuries on March 21st 1918. No known grave is listed but his name does appear on a War Memorial in Poziers in France.
He is the only known Ashington Mason to be listed on the Roll of Honour in United Grand Lodge.
To mark the occasion and honour the Centenary of his passing the Members of Ashington Lodge will meet on March 28th at the Ashington Masonic Hall and then assemble at the Ashington Memorial Garden for a short service of remembrance, on conclusion the members will return to the Hall to resume their normal regular March Meeting.
